It is tough out there.

Inequalities in health, housing, education and economic participation are becoming sharper between cities, towns and even within neighbourhoods.  Statutory and voluntary sectors are struggling to meet the demand. People at the frontline of services are stressed and worried. Individuals and families who are accessing these services are even more so.

No one individual, family, organisation, or service has the knowledge, experience and capacity to address the root causes of tough times on their own. We believe that building stronger relationships can help us get through tough times.

But, when it is tough out there, it is tough on relationships too.

It is tough to build relationships, because we do not have the resources for anything other than to meet our pre-set targets. It is tough to ask for help and admit we do not have all the answers. It is tough to collaborate because we do not trust others to deliver.

How can we improve our relationships with those around us so that we, and those around us, including people we serve, can bounce back from tough times.

Join us for a day of provocations, activities, discussions, and breadmaking – and let’s rise together to the challenge!

This session is supported by Lankelly Chase Foundation.
